The latest video from my forthcoming udemi course is now available on my I Don't Drink youtube channel and via my website. In this one I talk about some of the myths and misconceptions that get in the way of people quitting and which provide unrealistic excuses to carry on with the booze. You might not agree with my controversial statements but once you have quit, you might look back and reconsider.
It’s that time of year again and this Saturday is the Swimathon. It being my sixtieth year, I am hoping to do the distance in less than 2 hours which will set the pace for the next ten years!
This time my wife has agreed to help with the lap counting as the local pool are short of staff. She is already worried about what to wear, will it be too hot, what if she mis-counts, how many people will she be counting for, what if someone is too slow and she has to carry on counting after I have finished, what is she gets thirsty, what if she needs a wee, what if she gets muddled because it is a 33 metre pool rather than the normal 25 metres…. I thought I was supposed to be the one getting stressed! At least it is for a good cause with all profits to McMillan. If you do feel like sponsoring me the link is https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/swimathon-2017-idontdrink I will let you know how I get on, and thankyou. |
