We had a seventies style party in the garden last night. Wife and guests had sauvignon blanc which smelled very nice but didn't tempt me. Best thing was my wife had a hangover this morning, hah hah, I was fresh as a daisy!
Autumn is finally here, but a wonderful morning to sit and contemplate writing the next page of this book in the sunshine. It is set to be in the low 20's centigrade today so no doubt another excuse for kayaking and a boat ride later this afternoon.
My wife's birthday today. Impromptu party on the beach with sea swimming and kayaking followed by a ride in a power boat and then cake and champagne. Despite being mega thirsty after a long sea swim I smelt the glass of champagne handed to me and passed it on to my wife to enjoy. A lovely hot cup of green tea (gunpowder blend) made up for it once home and showered.
Me at Crystal Palace yesterday morning. I had just swum a mile at this wonderful Olympic pool with my daughter. Here I am by the dinosaur statues in the park with a copy of my book. Two years ago I would never have believed this could be me looking and feeling so well and having achieved so much. It just shows you can do anything if you focus your mind on it and think positively!
