With so many people trying to manage a Dry January I have to say it's something I don't think I could ever have done. I would have been counting down the days until I could drink again, getting in store bottles and bottles of wine for the big February day and forever thinking about drink - even more than I usually was. How much easier to do Dry Forever, it really is!!!
Alcohol concern are running a campaign at www.dryjanuary.org which is worth signing up to. The only thing with doing dry January though, is you will start counting down to when you can have a drink come February. Much better to do a dry forever!
Have a great Christmas and stay off the roads if you have had a glass.
Today at BBC radio Sussex on live with Danny Pike talking about the book - great fun, especially the laughs about the teapot and sherry episode
The local Selsey news website was quick to announce my launch - many thanks to them. I like the look of their walking festival next year as well. To see the whole issue follow the link: http://www.selseyinfo.co.uk/selseynews.html
Press launch today and they all wanted pictures so despite the freezing wind I had to sit in my new t-shirt on the beach.
I will be on a special show to do with drinking being hosted by BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey next Friday morning. It should be exciting and probably just as daunting as being on TV! Will keep you posted and add the link here once the deed is done.
This is the link to my live TV appearance about the book, so far the feedback is good!
